The partnership

Grown for the chili that thunders

Chili-Oa-Tunya buys its African Birds Eye chilies and onions from the Food Forest Foundation. Their network of 115 outgrowers puts local knowledge, local land and local livelihoods at the centre of every harvest.

The chilies bring the unmistakable heat. The onions build the rich base beneath it. Together, they help us make a sauce that is grown and made in Zambia.

The flavour base

Grown for us by the same partner network, the onions give our sauce body, balance and a naturally rich foundation.

The Zambian heat

Carefully grown, harvested and dried, these small red chilies deliver the bright, direct heat at the heart of Chili-Oa-Tunya.

Care at every step

Harvested and prepared by hand

From tending the plants to preparing the dried crop, people are at the centre of the process. That care travels with the chilies from the field to our kitchen.

Our shared promise

One carton. One tree.

For every carton of Chili-Oa-Tunya sold, we support the planting of one tree — growing more than ingredients for the future.
